Man charged with Candie Stop Robbery

A 35 year old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery at the Candie Stop in Potters Bar on Saturday 13 June.

Nicky Murray of Kimptons Mead, Potters Bar was arrested on Wednesday 24 June.

He was subsequently charged with two offences of robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.

Murray was also charged with an earlier offence of burglary which took place on Friday 29 May in Tesco in Potters Bar and ABH and assault by beating in relation to a separate investigation.

Murray appeared at Hatfield Magistrates Court on Thursday 25 June where he was remanded into custody. His next appearance will be at St Albans Crown Court on 23 July.
